CLIENT PREPARATION GUIDE
Udyam registration preparation
Udyam registration is free on the Government of India portal, paperless and based on self-declaration. No documents or proofs are uploaded for the registration itself. This page helps you prepare your information; it is not a government registration portal.
Information to have ready
- Enterprise name, constitution, address and activity details
- PAN and GSTIN where applicable; investment and turnover information is linked to government records
- Existing Udyam / UAM details, if any — check before creating a new application
- Contact information, bank details and employment / activity information requested by the official form
Complete authentication yourself
- The appropriate proprietor, partner or authorised signatory should have access to their own Aadhaar-linked authentication
- Enter Aadhaar details and OTPs only on the official portal; do not send OTPs, passwords or authentication codes to the team
- Review the self-declaration and save the acknowledgement / registration certificate
Avoid duplicate registration
- An enterprise should not file more than one Udyam registration; multiple manufacturing or service activities can be included in one registration
- For registration assistance through government channels, use the official portal and its listed facilitation options
