Refund & Cancellation Policy | CA Somesh Chandak & Associates

Scope

This policy covers payments made through sschandak.com via Razorpay — primarily the paid consultation fee — and, where applicable, advance fees paid online for professional engagements. It should be read with our Terms & Conditions and Service Delivery Policy.

Paid consultation — cancellation and rescheduling

Situation	What happens
You cancel 24 hours or more before the slot	Full refund of the fee, or reschedule to any open slot at no cost — your choice.
You cancel or ask to reschedule less than 24 hours before the slot	One free reschedule to a slot within the next 15 days. No refund.
You do not join / no-show	No refund. You may book afresh at the prevailing fee.
You join late	The consultation ends at the scheduled time; the lost minutes are not extended or refunded.
We cancel or cannot honour the slot	Full refund, or a priority reschedule with a complimentary 15-minute extension — your choice.
Technical failure on our side (call cannot be held)	Reschedule at no cost, or full refund.
Consultation held but you are dissatisfied	Write to us within 3 working days with specifics. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis where the consultation did not cover the topic booked; there is no refund merely because the guidance was not the outcome hoped for.

To cancel or reschedule, use the link in your booking confirmation, or email / WhatsApp us with your booking reference. The time of receipt of your message is taken as the cancellation time.

Advance fees for professional engagements

Advance fees for registrations, filings, accounting, valuation or advisory engagements are governed first by the engagement letter or accepted proposal.
If you withdraw before work has started, the advance is refunded in full less any government or third-party charges already paid on your behalf.
If you withdraw after work has started, we refund the advance less fees for work completed to that date (assessed on the stages set out in the engagement letter) and less any government or third-party charges incurred.
Government fees, stamp duty, DSC charges and similar statutory payments are non-refundable once remitted to the authority, irrespective of the outcome of the application.
Fees for a completed and delivered stage (for example, a filed return, an issued certificate, a signed valuation report) are not refundable.

Duplicate or failed payments

If an amount is debited but no confirmation is received, first check for a confirmation email/SMS from Razorpay. Failed transactions are auto-reversed by the bank, usually within 5–7 working days.
Duplicate payments for the same booking are refunded in full on request; email us the two payment references.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are initiated through Razorpay to the original payment method (card, UPI, net banking or wallet) within 3 working days of approval.
The amount typically reflects in your account within 5–7 working days after initiation, depending on your bank or card issuer. Card refunds can take up to 10 working days in some cases.
We do not issue refunds in cash or to a different account or instrument than the one used to pay.
Where GST was charged on the fee, the refund includes the GST component and a credit note is issued against the original invoice.
Payment gateway charges, if any, are absorbed by us and not deducted from your refund.

How to request a refund

Email somesh@sschandak.com or WhatsApp +91 89468 83420 with: your name, the payment reference (from the Razorpay confirmation), the booking date and the reason. We acknowledge refund requests within 2 working days and communicate the decision within 7 working days.
