Two forms decide an LLP's compliance record: Form 11 by 30 May and Form 8 by 30 October — each accruing ₹100 per day late, without cap, forever. This standing engagement files both from reconciled books, adds the ITR, and never lets the calendar slip.
| Item | Position |
|---|---|
| Form 11 | Due 30 May each year — even for NIL-activity LLPs |
| Form 8 | Due 30 October — needs books closed and solvency declared |
| Late fee | ₹100/day per form, uncapped |
| ITR | Due per income-tax calendar; audit if thresholds crossed |
Both forms filed with SRNs, the ITR acknowledgement, a solvency working paper behind Form 8, and a standing reminder calendar.
Books/trial balance, bank statements, partner details and changes during the year, prior filings for continuity.
Books and partner-change information must arrive on the agreed dates; the ₹100/day meter does not respect anyone's busy season. Solvency declarations rest on the partners.
Strike-off of defunct LLPs and dispute matters are separate engagements (strike-off available as its own service).
Our LLP did nothing this year. Still file?
Yes — NIL filings are mandatory and cheap; skipped filings are neither. Dormant LLPs racking ₹200/day across two forms is the most common avoidable bill in this practice area.
We are three years behind. Options?
File everything with computed late fees — quantified upfront — or, if the LLP is genuinely dead, evaluate strike-off which still requires bringing certain filings current. Honest arithmetic first, then the cheaper path.
Does Form 8 need an audit?
Only past the thresholds; below them, partner certification suffices. Testing the thresholds correctly each year is part of the scope.
Can you take over from our previous consultant mid-cycle?
Yes — a records pull from the MCA portal establishes exactly what is filed and pending before anything is promised.
The applicable scope, documentation, professional responsibilities and timelines are agreed in an engagement letter before commencement.
